For one reason or another, I haven’t yet gotten around to watching Breaking Bad.
Some how… I feel un-whole. Something inside of me is missing.
I just can’t stand the looks when I say that I don’t watch “Breaking Bad” anymore. It’s starting to seem as if everyone in the streets are staring at me… and that they know.
So to fix this, I’m finally going to watch it… and blog about it.
The timing is perfect, actually. The two-part, fifth, and final season starts in mid July. That means, not only will I be able to catch up, but I’ll also be just in time to be disappointed at the ending with everyone else.
Let’s explore my embarrassing problem a little…
How have I not seen this show?
Well, I do have to admit I was turned off by one of my favorite childhood fathers
being a meth dealer.
And the whole cancer storyline makes me queasy….
I don’t know.
It’s on AMC. I hardly watch anything on AMC since I haven’t had cable for at least 2 years (which isn’t odd, if you consider the internet) and if it’s not on Netflix or Hulu, I have to go out of my way to see it. That’s the main reason for my absurd absence from experiencing a piece of television history.
What Do I Expect Going In?
Well… I assume Hal, whom I should probably now refer to as actor Bryan Cranston, doesn’t die. It’s gone five seasons and he’s given a death sentence at the beginning, so I can get over the Woody Allen neurosis I have about death.
Also, I expect… to see a whole different side of him as an actor I only know as a funny man…
…and a loving father
And see him be something I’ve never seen before…
With all of that said, I’m excited.
Let the viewing begin.
